HersheyparkTM is Pennsylvania's largest Theme Park and is located east of Harrisburg. Hersheypark is home to ten roller coasters as well as a nice, large collection of old and new rides. All in all a very well rounded ride package. The park dates back to an era when Milton Hershey himself established the park. In recent years, it has greatly expanded, adding major thrill rides and new themed areas. In the past eight years they have added five major roller coasters and a Wild Mouse. Located outside of the park, Chocolate WorldTM offers a ride showing how chocolate is made. Chocolate World has free admission and is well worth the trip. Hersheypark offers a pay one price plan for entrance to the park. A parking fee is charged. Due to the number of possible ways to get to the park, directions will not be provided here. Consult a good map and the Hersheypark web site for more information. A parking fee is charged. HersheyparkTM |

For an excellent history of the park, I suggest the book Hersheypark The Sweetness of Success by Charles J. Jacques, Jr. Produced by Amusement Park Journal ISBN 0-9614392-1-1 (hardcover and 0-9614392-2-x (paperback) There are a good number of food outlets on within the park including a SubwayTM. Hersheypark also features Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream and of course Hershey's excellent chocolate. Click here for photographs of the park and many of it's rides including:
