Dutch Wonderland
Lancaster, PA
Dutch Wonderland is a very nice park located in the heart of the Pennsylvania Dutch country. At one time the park had just kiddie rides but now it is more of a family park with an emphasis toward children having a good time. On a 1998 visit, the park was clean and well kept, everything almost appearing new and all rides operating. While the highway traffic in front of the park can be hectic at times, you will pretty much forget it once inside the park. There are a number of peaceful areas to just relax and plenty of benches. Don't miss the park's website (see below) - it is really cute and is indicative of the quality put into the park. The park is located along Route 30 on the East side of Lancaster. When traveling east on Route 30, the park is on the left side about 1 mile past route 462. The park's website also has Directions Dutch

Most rides, like the park, are aimed toward children. While the Sky Princess (wood rollercoaster) is great first coaster for many kids, it is also quite a good and enjoyable ride for adults. The Dutch Wonder House is a unique ride. See the page here for more information. It's wonder (pardon the pun) that more parks don't have rides like this. Just plain fun. The park also has a nice assortment of kiddie rides and light thrill rides. See the link for the photos below. Of course playing all day makes you hungry so the park offers a variety of food options from the restaurant to snacks and deserts, including funnel cakes and homemade fudge. You can visit the park's Eating Page for additional information. Click here for photographs of the park and many of it's rides including:
