Kishacoquillas Park
Also known as Kish Park
Lewistown, Mifflin County, PA
I was quite surprised while riding through Lewistown one day when I looked over and saw what looked like it could have been an old park and knowing one was in the Lewistown area, I looked harder. What I saw, shocked me, there was a sign that read "Scooter Building". I quickly turned in and asked what the park was - Kish park was the answer, hardly anyone pronounced the parks full name.

The park is now known as Derry Township Community Park but for many of the residents, will always be Kish Park.

  • The park had the following rides3
  • A Junior Roller Coaster3
  • A Dark ride called Fun In The Dark3
  • Bumper Cars (scooters)3
  • Hand Crank kiddie cars on a track3
  • Swan Boats3
  • Kiddie circular boat ride3

The cement "ring" where the kiddie circular boat ride was and the pond for the swan boats remain as does the Scooter building and the dark ride building3

The coaster likely sat behind the Scooter building and the dark ride3
